Erulmeghangalkkum Sooryarasmikalkkum Madhye

A 45 minute telefilm.This is a story of the internal personal struggles that emerge when the smooth roads of life become troubled and treacherous. It is a film rich in symbolism and visual texture.

The protagonist is a confidant man, happy and content with his position in life. Hailing from a remote hamlet in Palakkad, Ravunni Nair has been a role model to his fellow drivers.   He takes pride in the fact that he is the son of Theyyunni Nair a senior, who is widely respected in the community. However when his bus hits a person at Polppully, Ravunni Nair finds to his dismay that life is not all peaches and cream.  Chased by a violent mob, Ravunni Nair escapes to a hide out in the hills.  The moving dark clouds over the mountains are in sharp contrast to the bright shining Sun, visual metaphors of Nair’s state of mind.

The despairing bus driver contemplates suicide but for some reason decides to wait and return to the village of his birth before he takes his life.  By night fall he returns home, he is literally at the end of his rope when suddenly he meets Moideen Sahib the person who has been his nemesis and the reason behind the accident. No more of the plot will this writer reveal.

Intricately woven with suspense and glimpses of the complexities of a distinct sub-culture, this telefilm shows keen insight into the tapestry of the human drama and the possibilities of redemption that love can bring in the most trying of circumstances.
