Chief Minister of Kerala Visits Amrita Channel 15 July, 2005

Trivandrum, 15 July, 2005: The Chief Minister of Kerala Sri OOmmen Chandy visited the Amrita TV office today. Mr Sudhakar Jayaram, Chief General Manager of Amrita TV received him along with Shyamaprasad, President (Programmes), Mr Neelan (Chief Executive Editor), Mr G K Suresh Babu (News Editor) and Mr G P Nair (Head-Engineering). The Chief Minister then went on to visit the various departments of the channel and had brief interactions with the CGM and other department heads.

During the interaction, the Chief Minister expressed the Government’s dissatisfaction with the functioning of the Kerala Public Service Commission. The commission members have been appointed by the Government. Inspite of this, the Constitutional Organization PSC has been avoiding the questions put forth by the Government.
