Music Mix blends a few of these timeless  melodies  drawn from the Golden Age of  Malayalam films - the 60’s,70’s and 80’s- with finger-snapping modern rhythms, thus spicing up Nostalgia with today’s hits. Each episode presents  songs, drawn from the black& white era , Eastman colour and newer numbers. 

The show is anchored by a presenter who intersperses each song with little nuggets of information about the number– the film  to which the song belongs ; the actors whose lips framed the lyrics on the silver screen ; the creative trio behind-the-scenes, the lyricist, music composer and play-back singer whose efforts begat the song .  Classic film songs that have become part of Malayalam film folklore, are thus brought back into the limelight by the imaginative presentation of  the anchor.
