Dr.M.K. Muneer takes over as the new Master of Ceremonies in Amrita TV’s prestigious music-based programme Sangeetha Samagamam, in the episodes commencing from the 16th of May.

Telecast every Sunday at  7.30 pm, Sangeetha Samagamam is a musical re-union of  geniuses whose collective efforts had created  masterpieces in melody and who now  journey back in time to recreate the story of its genesis.

Keralites know Dr. Muneer as the only son of the highly respected Shri.C.H. Mohammed
Koya, the longest serving education Minister in Kerala history ; as a medical doctor who has a flourishing practice ; as one of the youngest the Ministers in the AK Antony and Oommen Chandy ministries.

Not many may be aware that the soft spoken and scholarly doctor politician who wears so many hats, has an artistic facet to his personality – he is a gifted singer who has won prizes for Best Singer, Best Actor and Best Painter at Intermedico competitions ; has lent his voice to a few albums and is a movie buff who is on a first name basis with the elite of the Malayalam film fraternity.

If these credentials aren’t enough to qualify him for his new avatar as presenter, this famous son of a famous father is a highly personable individual liked by one and all, with a natural off the cuff conversational style and a sense of  humour inherited form his father.

The first episode he will be hosting is appropriately a 5-episoded series on Malayalam film’s finest director Padmarajan,  in which his wife Radhalekshmi, Prem Prakash, the producer of his 1st film ‘Peruvazhiyambalam’, Actor Asokan, M.D. Rajendran, Music Director Johnson who had composed the songs of  over a dozen of Padmarajan’s films etc will be participating.
