Riding the wave of the extreme successful mega hit Superstar, a show that received an unprecedented one million plus hits on its web page, Amrita TV’s Superstar Junior is destined to be a one of the biggest hits and one of the most popular shows to ever reach Malayalam television. It will be  a must see for audiences of all ages, for those who love music and all for those who cherish the excitement and joy of making a dream come true.. Capturing the youthful exuberance of the ten to fifteen year old age group, Super Star Junior promises the complete drama and thrill of live reality televison. Staged in a supportive and talent nurturing venue with brilliant sets , state of the art lighting and sound delivery, the program will be telecast  over eleven weeks in fifty-seven episodes.
            Ten contestants, chosen from auditions taken in three districts of Kerala State Ernakulam, Calicut and Trivandrum, will be critiqued in specified fields of music such as semi-classical and melody, by popular media celebrities and well known musical artists. The exciting and intense round by round competition will be decided by direct viewing audience participation, those receiving the least amount of votes, conducted through an SMS network, will be eliminated, with the last three contestants performing in the Mega Finale.   Telecast five days a week Monday through Friday no one will want to miss a single episode, switch channels, or leave their living room seats as the final three Super Star Junior hopefuls sing their hearts out for fame, glory and the prospect of winning fabulous prizes
