Amrita TV bags 11 State TV Awards--No.1, second year in a row.
 
At the Kerala State Government Awards for excellence in television for the year 2006, announced by Mr M.A.Baby,the Minister of Education and Culture ,Amrita TV bagged 11 Awards --the highest amongst all Malayalam TV channels.This is the second year in a  row that Amrita TV has topped the awards list-- last year also, Amrita TV had been presented with the maximum number of awards.
 
Amrita TV got eight  awards in the fiction category and the balance three for non-fiction.
 
Notable among the award-winning entries was the channel's in-house tele-film,"Neermathalathinte Pookal" which won four Awards for  "Second Best Telefilm","Best Scriptwriter"," Best Audiographer" "Best Music Director".
 
Amrita TV's tele-films also got the "Best Videography Award & "Best Actress Award"(" Thaniye") and "Best Supporting Actor Award "(Irumeghangalkkum Suryareshmikalkkum Madhye").
 
For 2006, Amrita TV got the Best Television Serial Award for "Chitrashalabham "
 
In the non-fiction category, "Udayamritam" won the "Jury's Special Award" for the "Director" and "Videographer" ; while "Pradikshanam" won  the "Best Commentator Award"
 
To maintain the quality and integrity of the  channel's programming character ,nearly 74 per cent of Amrita TV's programmes are produced in-house by its team of talented and experienced directors.
