Junior Genius, the novel edutainment reality show targeted at 12-14 year olds, to discover the perfect all-rounder made a splash with its first episode on August 17.

In its very first episode, viewers were transported to outdoor adventures performed by these fabulous teenagers .And one could see breathtaking exercises done under the watchful eyes of an expert outdoor trainer,K.Balakrishnan,VP,Human Resource HuntersTermed the 'Be Adventurous 'Round,it was surely a heart-stopper,with all the contestants performing the 'Single Rope Walk' atop  a river lying suspended on a rope

And soon thereafter one experienced the 'Artistic Expressions Round',wherein a contestant floored the judges with her perfect singing of a Hindi song

As if this was not enough, the show entered the 'Test Your Grey Cells Round' comprising a vibrant and innovative Quiz session.The quiz master was noted anchor,Rekha Menon

While most  reality shows showcase individual talent alone, Junior Genius  places equal importance on being a team player ,besides sharpening the competitive spirit through  individual ingenuity.This ethos could be seen in the way these potential geniuses collaborated with each other to outperform each other with cheerful camaraderie

Junior Genius assesses not just their IQ,GK or artistic abilities but endeavours to analyse the total personality of the child,--physical, mental and intellectual potential. This is reflected in the composition of judges comprising Dr. Achuthsankar S.Nair who besides being a Ph.D in engineering and heading the Centre of Bioinformatics,Kerala University and an eminent academician also is a carnatic music connoisseur;  and Vipin V.Roldant,Consultant Corporate  Psychologist and Behavioural Specialist 

The show takes place amidst much fun and participative learning so that instead of being bogged down by the tension of rivalry, the competition becomes a  journey of discovery when they unveil hidden strengths, unrealized  skills and latent talents
