After nearly 120 episodes spread over three months,Closeup "Super Dancer", the first reality show in Malayalam television, reached its climax in a grand finale which was telecast live worldwide.

From nearly 5000 aspirants, Amrita TV had shortlisted 20 contestants to compete in the show,out of which four reached the finals through public sms voting

In a lively entertaining program on August 26, in front of an invited audience at the University Senate Hall,Trivandrum,the final four battled for the Closeup "Super Dancer" crown .

Prasanth was voted the Super Dancer 2007 and bagged a Swift while the second prize, an Alto, was won by Anish.The third prize winner Shamna, got a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, while Anjali was presented a cash prize of Rs 50,000.Noted actress ,Meena gave away the Awards

A special Appreciation Award of Rs 25000 was awarded by Amrita TV to Vandana, who despite being physically challenged with one leg, had earlier participated in the auditions of Super Dancer,braving all odds.

The gala program featured electrifying dance performances by actors from the tinsel world such as Megna Naidu,Mohini,Aravindar,Nishant Sagar along with top 10 contestants of the reality show

In response to audience feedback,Amrita TV has already announced "Super Dancer Junior"a talent hunt for children in the 10-15 age with auditions in Bangalore and Kerala which will be aired from September 2007.
