At last the winners of the Super Dancer Junior reality TV contest have been decided.
The results of this contest were determined exclusively and completely by viewer SMS voting. These winners are truly the people’s choice.
They are first place Anna and second place Sheha. The third place winner is Shradha with fourth place going to Nayana. The last week of this contest has been by far the hottest of the entire competition. As viewers know it was becoming more and more difficult to decide which contestant was delivering the best performance.
The first place prize Rs 5 lakhs went to Anna. Anna, 11 is a student of Choice School, Ernakulam She has studied western and Indian dance forms. Anna’s favorite dancer is Shakira. Anna lists amongst her passions and hobbies, besides dance, of course, reading, painting, and tennis.
The prize for second place Rs 3 lakhs up went to Sheha. Sheha, 11 is a student of Little Flower Convent Girls Higher Secondary School, Thrissur. Her favorite dancers are Shobhana and Dr. Padma Subramaniam She has studied western and Indian dance forms. Her passions and hobbies are dancing, reading and painting
Third place winner Shradha won diamonds worth 75,000. Shradha , 10 is a student of Christ Nagar Higher Secondary School 5th Trivandrum. She has studied western and Indian dance forms. Her favorite dancer is Shobhana. Her passions and interests are singing and dancing.
Fourth place winner went to Nayana. Nayana 11, is a student of Christ Nagar Higher Secondary School, Trivandrum. She has studied western and Indian dance forms. Her favorite dancers are Shobhana and Aishwaraya Rai . Nayana’s hobbies and passions are dancing, singing, and swimming. As CEO of Amrita TV Sudhakar Jayaram stated as far as Amrita TV was concerned all were first place winners
The Finale event held in Trivandrum on February 24th, which lasted for nearly 3 hours in front of a 2000- strong invited audience, was a knock- out show.
The Grand Finale not only showcased the amazing finale performances by our fantastic four finalist, guest and viewers alike were treated to a dazzling performance by film actor Roma.
Viewers and attendees were also given sizzling performances by dancers from Amrita TV’s hit shows “Super Dancer” as well as “Super Dancer Junior” directed by the fabulous choreographer Kala Master. Specialized dance troupes gave presentations of tribal dance, martial arts weapons dance and classical dance.
The Grand Finale of Super Dancer Junior was one of the most exciting nights in television history. The energy of the four young dancers is the culmination of competitive rounds spanning 160 episodes -telecast 7 days a week starting from Sept.2007.
They have been called upon to dance classical; DJ, Re-Mix, theme dances of horror and comedy as well as duets, group, judges choice, modern, and regional costume just to name a few, each a demanding effort for any age group. Of these dancers three were age 11 and one was age 10, what an accomplishment. All of the contestants and their families have every reason to feel as we do here at Amrita TV very proud of these youngsters.
First the four finalists were asked to give individual dance routines, for which they could, chose their own material. Second they we asked to dance a pair routine, something they had to work out with their partner and third they were asked to dance as a group.
All in all these young performers really had to dance their way through a gauntlet of ever demanding artistic challenges to become the winner. Indeed anyone watching for the last several weeks knows that the competition has gotten steeper and steeper, each Super Dancer Junior working hard to climb their own individual mountains of success.
Eminent people who gave the Prizes to the Award winners included Mr. Sudhakhharan Minister of Co-Operation, film actress Roma, Mr. Abdul Razak, Chairman, VKC Slipons, Mr. Rajkumar Area Manager, Amway and Dr. Radhakrishnan. of Santhimadom Builders
