Hariharan  Inaugurates a  Music Reality  Show for the First  Time

Hariharan, ace composer, ghazal guru and  gifted playback singer opened up Amrita TV’s Super Star-2 on a high note, the first time  he had ever launched a reality show.

He made room in his crowded itinerary to fly down from Mumbai  , just to set the ball rolling on a programme that had established the reality show genre in Kerala.

The inaugural ceremony took place at the Amrita TV studios , before a crowd that filled the hall and overflowed into the grounds. He was in the midst of a team of 20 final contestants of ‘Super Star-2 alongwith the jury panel of the show.This exciting interaction will be unveiled  from July 20 at 7.30 pm

Clad in a knee length kurta with his hair tied back  in a ponytail , Hariharan brought back memories of his first album ‘Country Cousins’ that  had announced his arrival  in the music world.

The crowds listened in breathless attention to his opening number, the Hindi version of Kathal Rojave with which he had stormed his way into Indian hearts. This was followed by the classic, Uyire in which his golden voice wanders over tenors and pitches that have not been explored by anyone else.

One of the contestants of Super Star -2 was invited to pitch in for another song Nenjukkal ;he  rounding off with Bharat Mata in which all the 20 competitors joined him on stage.

The 3 Judges of  Super Star-2 - Deepak Dev, Alphonse, M.Jayachandran -and Stephen Davassy the pianist were also present at the inaugural shooting.

Super Star-2 Amrita TV’s flagship show is replete with innovations –Super Star Express , Amrita TV’s refreshing new idea to induct talented youngsters into its list of competitors for Super Star-2; it is the first time that Hariharan is inaugurating a reality show- and  more surprises are in store.
