1. U r a very confident person. Never lose ur confidence due to ridiculous criticism.

i\'m sorry to hear that you are eliminated. may be it\'s a good time for you to think what caused you fell back in your performance and loose the chance to win this competition.

i would suggest you a few things here, possibly you can try to improve on them. i\'m also a musician and i did thousands of programs till now, came across plenty of artists. so, if you want you can consider my thoughts of you from my own experience.

1. first, don\'t be over-confident even if you think you can do it

2. don\'t act/pretend too much, try to be yourself

3. you need to practice a lot, voice some times lacks clarity and sweetness and affecting overall song beauty. i always wondered how you, parvathy and some other guys reached such high levels in the competition.

4. never think you are the best and no one here to beat you in performance. children of half your age used to do wonders in music, considering nothing special about you as a singer. from your very profile in amrita website, read carefully what yuo have written: i am this, that, i can do this, that......be yourself. don\'t speak a lot about your qualities, rather let your qualities speak about you, and there you start winning.

5. when you sing try to sing freely, don\'t be so stubborn as it won\'t help for an artist

anu, don\'t feel like i am criticising you. this forum is supposed to be for feed backs and comments i believe. if you are reading this just give a thought about what ever i said. it may help you in your future endeavours

I came home for a 10 days vacation n im a forum member ()working in Abu Dhabi)n literally wanted to come for superstar shoot but today when i called SS crew he said next shoot is on Feb 21-23.Now i dnt wnt to come for the show..n im going bak on 15th. Anu,it is really surprising you hv got the axe as I know bhadra will be out and sujith also if the usual method of one boy and one girl formula was adopted.But as the difference between sujith and antony is only less than a mark and without sujith this show will lose the charm further, perhaps the new formula of eliminating two girls who hv scored lower marks hv been tried I feel..In all the previous exits the lowest scorers contain a boy and a girl contestant but unfortunately in this round three girls got lower marks and placed on the 6,7,8- suparna,anu and bhadra and so you and bhadra faced the axe.So the so called SMS factor never plays any part and saying the same also a deciding factor is sheer nonsense as the elimination is done only on the basis of the marks obtained.If you see from round 8,10,12 and now 14 the lowest scorers of the last two were packed off but in the earlier rounds there were a boy and gorl and in this only two girls.So there is no use of boasting by the trio as well as that of the sub standard anchor in anand calling for SMS which never works out.Hope in the future rounds such a stupid comment need not be made reg.sms as the result can be easily guessed.I told Nikhil,sidesh and remya are the first three markwise and the same proved correct and once again Nikhil was rewarded as he is the top scorer most favourite of Jayan and probably be the winner of this show with Jayans blessings as the other two are only dummies and of no consequence in this sub standard show.

Anyway take this show as nothing of importance and I wonder when all ppl assembled incl.your father esp. your fathers comment praising the judges as great.He need not hv said anything abt them as they are not great whatever be the justification your dad has as I hv been observing these three from the beginning and cld understand their mindset.Gone is gone and you need not be perturbed over this silly thing.Study well classical music with absolute perfection as you hv now plenty of time,though you hv wasted a year over this as you hv to develop to sing with absolute sruthy,talas,thorough with the niceties of each raga notes as well ragas,which unfortunately neither deepak or alphons know much except some basics as they are still in the process of learning.Deepak used to advise contestants to sing in malayalam songs and at the same time half of his comments are in english and even a particular raga he does not know when Yamuna Kalyani is sung he says Kalayani, when a contestant sings in Kamboji he says it is sahana.So forget abt their comments as of no value.The producers of this show some satheesh is to be congratulated for selecting some three people with the exception of Jayan to head a competition and assess the merits.Great.

Now you concentrate on classical singing in yur spare time as you hv some background you can easily come up and practice well everyday without any break and under a good teacher as now your are a free bird from the tensions of this show.I am sure you can shine in that field.At the same time never forget your studies as almost a year has been disturbed by this show and come out well in your career as that alone is the surest way for coming up in life and never aspire to become a playback singer and something like that as it is well nigh impossible and I am sure even the winner of this show can\'t become a playback singer of any value and at best may join some troupe for some ganamelas and such things and no career in music as that will be a failure as the market is already glutted with well known persons and so can\'t shine taking part in this SS2.

So all the wishes for a bright career of yr line and also taking music seriously as if you are perfect in carnatic music playing other musical filmy songs is so easy as is proved by all the well known singers which you had emulated in your show.Of course music includes hindustani also.It was always my wish that you,Uma,Bhadra,Suparna to reach the top and now I don\'t think suparna can do wonders as she is also limping markwise round after round
and she may lose her position probably in the next exit time. The whole show has become one of a boring affair.This also relieved my time for good.God Bless.

Anu,I happened to see yr post on 26th in which you hv said you hv done well in this round.That is a good assessment.But when you said your words to the ppl waiting for yr elimination,I am really touched and I cld understand your mental agony in the words as words speak like eyes.Anu, this is a competition and tks to amritatv this type of novel arrangements they hv made to post comments to each contestants which we don\'t find in any other channel.Only becoz of that comments come for and against or else there can not be anything like comments.So you don\'t bother abt the negative comments and carry on with your work as quoted by you all depends on the will of God.So be a catalyst getting neither affected by praise or derision and just read the tamashas.Sometimes the comments are coming which shuld not find place in this forum reg. yr looks etc.As there is no mechanism to block such things let the same go on and just skip them. Just becoz of some negative comments which all get don\'t lose your confidence in yrself and work hard to achieve your goal and at the same time never neglect yr studies which is most imp. as this show will continue for only 3 or 4 mts and ppl will forget the same after sometime when the next show comes.Something like films.You may even be forgotten after sometime by the same ppl who praise you and divert their attention to the new ppl.So such things always happen..Now nobody bothers abt Roopa winner of the earlier version.So it is business as usual.So never upset over silly comments.ok.Hope you will take this advise in good spirits.God Bless.

hey...we a group of nearing 40 girls are regular viewers of this show right from super star 1.but now we think it is high time for us to react regarding super star 2.no doubt about the judging panel...but somehow difference of opinion regarding the marks given to Anu..we seriously believe that she should have been eliminated on the round instead of Uma...at least anu should have been eliminated in the last round instead of Anju...she is not versatile...very cunning in song selection...actually now it is time to stop counting SMS....anu is only a very average singer...Plz get her eliminated at the earliest..

Anu,todays performance is of ok type but you got good marks from the two ppl who act as assessors as they are bellow par in judging and just say something for the pay they receive from the channel.Why the anchor anand is interested in yourself bringing students from yr place.That looks little odd on his part and now a days he acts like a joker and his comments are so boring.I wonder how he was selected to act as an anchor with his stupid actions.Very bad.This is only my view and need not necessarily be that of others.Stephen of course has a spl affection for you.That is good. u r an average singer..but u r getting more marks as u deserve...all the 3 judges r praising u alot...i dnt knw why????? anu every time i thought of writing this, I thought of give one more chance may be u will get better. But this time it all pass the limit, even the judges started applauding you for the perfomance from you that is way below average!!!. have you really listen to the song Aisa Jaadu dala re!!!! your hindi was no were near to the original, the singing was the usual - \"the song goes on its way and you go highway!!!\" no tempo, no pitch and sometimes it sounds like you are just yelling on top of your voice. And amazingly the judges always says the crap praising for you... who made the deal??? its a clear sign of bad perfomance since all your last perfomance was not upto the mark, no where near to any others...
I\'m not have any personal interest in your case, but it was so frustrating to see tht you always do the same level and all the judges act like they are blind!!!
its better for you to quit now and start watching the star singer junior .. those kids are far better than any of you guys, atleast try to be in their level,
and for the judges, please dont water the credibility of the program, you guys judge both the junior and senior star singers and still cant find the difference!!!!!

Anu,I wonder why u hv taken such an ordinary song which contains nothing appreciable and actually I expected you to get around 19 but the judges as always are magnanimous to you for their own reasons gave you 20.Anyway that is good that at least the judges are favourable to you of late.But you hv to improve a lot to move up in the ladder and so consistent practice is a must and never take chances in the coming rounds and select very nice appreciable songs as all are competing their level best in this round and don\'t know how the tide is going to turn in whose favour and so wisdom demands to select songs that can be enjoyable and fetch maximum marks and not some song which has nothing worthwhile as the one telecast today and so from next round onwards take the matter seriously if u hv to move up in the ladder and I am sure with your pleasant voice you can sing beautifully and score high marks.So take the competition seriously and never get average marks by selecting unsuitable songs.Best wishes.

Anu,it is a good performance from you in todays telecast of audience category and judging panel were very magnanimous to give you marks which is the highest in this round for any song.Even the normally hesitant deepak also gave u 8 marks is laudable.But songwice it was only an average song which has nothing to praise much.But you got all the praises from the three.Great thing.More great is the introduction of stephens parents after yr song by deepak which he did not take the trouble for introduction when others sang.So it does not require much intelligence for anyone to read in between lines, the marks,no comments of substance,praising of stephen by alphons all taken together show that all will end in a happy note.The happy expression on stephens face I enjoyed. Everyone in the world inevitably has or had to go through tragedies at some point of their lives. How do they overcome these tragedies? There are lots of ways to tackle them, and the way they choose for overcoming them depends upon their persona. Some choose simple methods, some choose complex methods and some uses spiritual methods. Those people who try to overcome them by spiritual methods, normally can be satisfied with rituals and ceremonies than diving deep into the spiritual ocean and collecting gems. This film is about a family who tries to overcome their tragedy through spiritual redemption. They fathom deeply than be satisfied in the surface.


Khalid (35), who is the hero of this film, works with a reputed television channel as a program producer. This young man is a portrayal of the modern youth who believes that celebration is life; he uses each and every moment solely for entangling in enjoyments. His wife Zainab (28) is serene and wise. Along with her house hold chores, she has also found time to study Islamic literature, Sufism and Zen. There is no wonder in her interest according to her spirituality because her father was a reputed Sufi scholar. He taught her how to lead a moral life by escaping from sins and temptations of this colorful world. But at some point, she has forgotten that precious wisdom and allured in the glitters. They have a kid whose name is Farhan(8). Both the parents have deep rooted relationship with their kid.
As time goes on, the family faced a tragedy during the \'dul hajj\' month. Khalid was unable to come in terms with it, eventually becomes melancholic. He has become absent minded and hallucination caught him. Zainab becomes restrained after a couple of months, starts the soul searching journey towards the truth, finally understand the meaning of life. After knowing it, she tries to help her family to surpass the tragedy. But things start to go out of her hands, so she compels them to do Hajj. They start the holy pilgrimage and performed all the sacred rites in mecca and Madina.
During the tour, her heart beyond religious confinement became broaden that the whole universe is encompassed in it. But her family has not been that broad, so they fall into depression again and again, even after such a sacred pilgrimage. She then takes a powerful weapon from her spiritual armory and shoots directly to their heart.


The ignorance which used to cover the hearts is cast off, because darkness cannot prevail when light enters the arena. She shows the way to the family, by portraying the concept that \'life itself is a sacrifice for truth\' by leading her own life. Gaining from that spiritual reservoir, the new Khalid now decides to rewrite his life and career. In that endeavor, he faces professional challenges and in the end he asks a few serious questions to the television media, which cannot be answered that easily by the TV media which celebrates its 50th anniversary. Finally with the help of Zainab, his spiritual transition blossoms to lofty heights.


Thus, this film is a sacred journey from worldly enjoyment to philosophical ecstasy. Even though Zainab transcends her role from house wife to a Spiritual Master, she never renounces her house wife title. I choose such a theme, mainly for 2 reasons. There is common notion that woman have less spiritual powers than Men. I don\'t believe in that notion. I believe that truth is genderless and religion-less, so who ever seek truth, will find it, irrespective of gender and religions they hold. So this is the first reason for me to choose a female master. Second one is, there is another common notion that, one cannot find truth by doing their own duty. I want to say, anyone can find truth even while they perform
everyday duties of life. So this film simply shows the stardom of Zainab who acquired the intellect from the family lineage. And without some sort of lineage, wisdom is impossible.
There are only very few characters in this film, because it deals mainly with overcoming depression. So we might confine the scenes mainly on that topic and evaded other areas. It’s just a panoramic view of Zainab and her family in spiritual realms. I have tried 5 cinematic methods to convey that philosophical realm for the audience. So the treatment of the film will be through the following:
1. Visuals,
2. Subtle movements,
3. Surrealism
4. Chanting
5. Scenes that have meanings beneath its surface.

One thing to remember is that judges will pass comments. Their comments are also like yours or anybody else\'s singing !!! Some portions are good, some are very good, and also some portions are not so very good. What you need to do is this .. Don\'t let the best comment get into your head, nor let the worst comment get you feeling bad .
Eliminate the best comment and the worst comment !!! Now you know where you stand , isn\'t it.

Shakalaka Baby was quite good. As many people pointed out, it lacked a bit of extra energy. But we understand ur throat problem...hardly a week\'s gap between 2 schedules and 3 songs to select, learn and pactise. Then the rehearsals,dancing and above all travelling. It is quite tiresome for an ameature like you.Once u have a throat problem it is difficult to give the much needed voice rest. Stay away from home and hotel food will agravate the problem. But, u have to overcome all these if u want to be a professional singer. Consult a good specialist if u have not done already. Follow the diet,routines and medication religiously. Most of the singers in reality shows are facing this kind of problems. So, dont be upset. Ur pitching has improved a lot as the judjes have rightly acknowledged. Now select suitable songs with some musical value and prove ur ability as a good singer. U have already proved beyond doubt, ur abilities in performance and stage presence.Since ur voice is sweet and has a good range u can sing any kind of song with the classical training u got. We are waiting for a good semi classical number from you. May god bless you!

As the judges told you the song was not so crispy but was not too bad for me. Some portions have made them look at each other in sheer surprise and that\'s a good sign. We don\'t want to loose you too early and please don\'t repeat what UMA has done to herself. Don\'t bank on your performance or SMS. Please sing well. Anu,todays performance that was telecast is of ok type.As pointed out by deepak much energy is required to sing in certain places as you know the competition will get tightened in course and every song must fetch good marks to avoid unpleasant consequences at the end of round 10.So from now onwards keep a vigil on each song and try to study the nuances and deliver.However to begin with the marks you got is not bad but that is not suffice.Anything less than 23 is not acceptable and so you hv to dedicate in slection of songs,practice the same ,deliver without the usual flaws that come and select song suitably.For your audience round for the fan this may be good but you must be able to deliver the same correctly and that is why I am insisting that you shuld be the judge of the song selection as many ppl might hv suggested different songs but the decision shuld be yours and if you fail in this you may wander in the woods after some time.So be careful in this.All the best.

Anu,happy that you hv jumped thehurdle and entered the 9th round as expected.Uma had to pay her price for not heeding to good advises and took all for granted and though warned several times she was under the impression her abilities other than singing various types of songs will carry her thru and got stuck up though she was warned even from the end of 7th round abt her position in which she got the lowest marks and not concentrating to improve the same to high score in the 8th round and had to face the music.So let her actions be an eye opener for you that in future rounds be careful in selection of songs,rendering and working well.Though you must hv got little tension when you were placed in the danger zone I was not worried as I was sure no damage will happen to you but you must be careful from the 9th round onwards as more and more tough songs you hv to select and render.Getting high marks is very imp. as sms factor alone won\'t decide the fate of the contestant.Though Umas was a forgone conclusion unless some miracle happened I wonder how Alfred was eliminated when actually I expected sinov would be out.Anyway all such things happen.Perhaps sms of sinov might hv helped him to cross the barriers.

So as advised by me in an earlier mail take good songs,prepare well and deliver them to the best of your ability so as not to get yourself in trouble at the end of 10th round as depending on sms votes alne won\'t help you to move up.Wishing you all the best in future rounds.

Anu,at the end of 8th round taking both 7th and 8th together you are placed in the 10th spot.There is nothing to worry abt yr elimination even markwise and sms votes.You hv great talent as a good singer which you hv proved but I wonder why you hv taken such a song for the folk round that was telecast today though you said your father liked that song.That is ok.But this is a high level competition where the boys are dominating in the top levels and knowing that fully well you shuld not hv selected this average song in my opinion.There are any number of songs which you can handle well and get you more marks.So always my advise is you must select the song which you like and hear the same many times after recording it and come to the conclusion whether that will be appreciated and you shuld judge the same in the position of a judge.That is the way to select the songs.Even audience choice I think ,though your selection is ok,you shuld hv taken some more songs and hearing the same you shuld judge which is better for you as many ppl may suggest different songs but ultimately you shuld be the judge to decide the same.In this there shuld be no dilution on the grounds of sentiments.Probably you are carried away by the thought that the selection of song by others shuld be nice but never give room for that.In this you hv to learn from sidesh and others and how they select nice songs and render the same to the best of their ability and cld get good marks.
Anyways forget the past rounds as you will go to the 9th round of which I don\'t hv any doubt and from now onwards select songs of the categories for 9th and 10th rounds and practice well as suggested and be in the position of judge and then decide which song will be suitable for you.You won\'t fail if you follow this and render the song selected by you with absolute perfection so that there shuld not be any unnecessary comments from the judges and definitely the songs will be appreciated and will fetch you good marks.Forget abt sms votes which all may get.But markwise you must dominate.Not a big problem.Don\'t bother abt this result as after all you hv another 8 rounds or so and surely you will rise up with your dedication.As future rounds will be tough and the marks that will be awarded will also be on sound basis never be in a mood of laxity and I am confident this ranking will go up with each round provided you follow these guidelines.First you be the judge of yr song and then sing before friends who are not the contestants and ask for their opinion and you shuld select at least 3 songs in each category and select the best and see the results and I am sure you ,yourself will wonder abt the going.This is applicable to all the contestants but many don\'t bother to take efforts.Whether it is audience choice,duet rounds the same principles apply.In duet rounds you must always select songs in which the female role dominates more than the male role as in almost all films the duet songs always favour the heros.So selecting songs in which the heroines hv more exposure shuld be selected and that is the reason in all duet songs only boys get high marks than girls.It is simple logic and shuld be understood.I think you will take this piece of advise in good spirit and make trials in your future rounds.I am sure this will definitely push you up in the ladder.As said score high marks,forgetting sms which will always come even if you get lower marks but your calibre lies in proving that you are capable of getting high scores.So don\'t hv any mood of dejection and carry on with more vigour in future rounds and if you like my advise take the same and you won\'t get disappointed,I am certain.All the best Anu and God Bless you.

Anu,hope you must hv fared well in this 8th round and don\'t know the marks you hv got unless the same are telecast.However there is no need to worry abt elimination after thisround and we can certainly see you in the 9th round.Select always hit nice songs which can carry everybody with you and you be the judge of selecting the song that suits your voice.As you are a great performer if you hv the will you can certainly ignite the stage with wonderful songs.

As I always hold these two ppl judging are unpredictable and favour only boys to the detriment of girls as they hv already three boys shortlisted and only one will be the SS and no girls can get that position, that is for sure from the trend of the past 7 rounds.The girls can hv the satisfaction that at least they hv got a platform to exhibit their talents and no more.

In todays telecast the two were seen with cowboy caps as if they hv gone back to 80s of last century when cowboy English films used to be hits.Don\'t know whether they will come with blouses and bras in tomorrows telecast.as anything is possible with these two jokers.With such clowns at the helm it is no wonder their mental set up will also be like that and it is really amazing how they became music directors when they hv no qualms and norms to behave like gentlemen.Perhaps they might hv copied all their songs from some other films of yonder years.Poor producers who opt them for their films.Absolutely without maturity which is expected from such ppl they behave like school children.Sine both are mentally deranged nothing can be done except taking them to some asylum and give shock treatment to make them normal.

Anu,as far as the 7th round is concerned it is ok you hv done reasonably well but taking the marks you got of all the rounds clubbed together you are way behind at 12th spot or so and the top scorer sujith has 320 marks whereas you are with 298 marks at the end of the 7th round and it is really a matter of concern and of course with votes you might hv gathered some more marks of which we hv no idea as the same is kept a top secret and the reasons only the concerned ppl know.Don\'t know whether the Right to Infmn Act has to be invoked to find out the sms each has got in the contest till the 8th round and the same will be decided by the end of the 8th round when the elimination comes as the ppl who has voted for their contestants hv the rt to know what is the position as it is not a private show but a public one.How they utilise the money the channel gets as share is not my concern but I hv to know how many sms each has got and what are the norms on which they decide trhe sms votes and convert the same as marks.What is the formula for that/That everbody shuld know as all channels invite sms votse for the contestants of the shows run by them and get huge share out of that and ppl who hv given their votes hv the right to ascertain facts as to how much each has got as the same can be manipulated in many ways according to the fancies of the ppl who are conducting the shows.The sponsors,programme executives hv the responsibility to reveal the same as otherwise just by reading from some cards one has been \'in\' or out by just saying sms helped won\'t be suffice as the same is kept a top secret.So only thru some legal means the same must be made known as there is no guarantee whether there is mischief in this sector which is very vital as the same involves the money of voters and not of the sponsors or channels.For each sms the cellular ppl charge and the channel get a good share.So financial commitment comes.Hence only thru legal means the same can be ascertained as the same is not revealed by the channels.

Coming to the gap you and the top contestant is abt 22 marks which will go on increasing only with each round and that will surely put u and many to disadvantage and will make the votes redundant and the poor voters will only lose their money in the process as the marks alone will come to the top for counting as sms formula for calculation is not revealed.This the judges kniow and hence their anxiety to project the three persons to the top by awarding high marks whatever song they sing ,whether the same is of ok type or serious type give high marks so that ppl who got sms will definitely put to disadvantage.In another channel last year one who got 40 marks became the top man and the excuse given was he got more than a lakh sms votes.What funny things are going on/In that case why the judges give marks and club both?Either the contestant be judged by marks or sms.Giving their favoutites high marks even if the song is average as they may not get sms votes than others and give poor marks to those who may get sms votes.How can the judges foresee one gets sms or not?So they would hv known where the shoe pinches and act accordingly and want to elevate certain contestants to the top positions becoz they hv already become the fans of them and for others they just make some comments in the usual pattern and give low marks after saying God bless you and such things and ask the contestant to plead for votes.`That is how the marks are decided for each contestant.I think this must be the fact as the judges may know the sms votes and hence their promotional activitities thru backdoor to nullify the effect of sms votes.

I can understand your frustration \'coz I felt the same when I was watching the show. DD even don\'t have the sense of timing. Jayan was doing a very emotionally touchy act and this guy followed it up with a filthy, third graded practical Joke. I would have enjoyed that joke had it been played at some other contest. Frankly speaking these guys are young and they don\'t have the maturity to be the Judges of any show. They are really very talented people and I bow before them for that aspect but these people can\'t be on the judging panel. I got fed up with the jokes on the other channels and I thought that this will be a different show but this show is also going in the same direction. Once I saw these guys fighting for the hat thrown by UMA and the other day they were playing with that bloody doll when ANU was singing. As usual they said that pitching was not upto the mark with other usual comments. How can these guys play arround when some is singing seriously. Right now they have started singing themselves and I feel that these guys are making a mockery of the show. They diverting the focus from the contests. There is not doubt that they are some of the best in their field and if they want to show thier talents, I suggest them to start another show. I have never seen these type of behaviour in any of the shows shown on Hindi channels. I have seen some of the best talents budding out of these shows and hope our judges will take some Ideas from those shows to keep the viewership intact. The other day Jayan Awarded 7.9 for a dappan Koothu song to Sujith. It was not a power packed performance nor a technically rich song. They just get carried away by their emotions rather than using their brains when it comes to awarding marks. We know Sujith is a very good singer and we don\'t want to loose him, but that should happen in due course of time. He should change his personality along with the improvement in his singing. If Judges feel that he is not getting enough public support or if they feel that they can keep him on the show by giving him undeserving marks, then they are spoiling him as they did to UMA. I always felt that they are spoilig her by giving her marks which she don\'t deserve. Hope they will change for the good. I\'ll never say that the show is BAD but the judges should learn to behave themselves. They should keep their dignity to maintain the dignity of the show. They are the best and they need to change their ways. They can\'t play like kids on the show.

Anu,as I hv been maintaining that this show is one for boys and the girls can\'t help themselves up as the two members except Alphons hv more or less decided who shuld be lifted to the top slot and so everything is going according to their plans.So the three contestants who can reach the top shuld be sidesh,sujith and nikhil and one of them will be the first followed by the other two and all others will bid good bye round after round.Todays telecast showed a very funny thing the dwarf deepak presenting a doll as a gift which normally known as Tanjore chettiar doll and the same will swing its head this way and that way.May be he wnats to entertain the small audience which contain some girls and boys mostly contestants and their family members or friends and play by moving the same this way and that way when the show was going on and the contestants sing with some dedication and such behavious pattern is worse than boys playing on the ground.They imagine that the same will be applauded and make the viewrs laugh but hv forgotten in the process they themselves become the laughing stock and degraded their position.This is not a welcome augury for the show as I hv not seen such funny jokers in any other reality shows.They cld hv done the same by acting in some films which they can\'t as they won\'t be selected even for comic roles as the directors know well that the films will not seen the day.So they play on this show without controllike a mad elephant.Who is there to rein them?Will the sponsors and other ppl responible for the show tell them to keep themselevs restrauin their jokes to the minimum and not play like street boys.It is too much to expect from them also as the show has to run for some more months in this fashion.They advise the contestants to improve at the same time they act like buffoons.Strange thing.Only silver lining in this otherwise comic show is Alphons presence who himself once remarked he was wondering where the performance is going on whether in the stage or among the ppl sittiong to judge the talents.Simply ridiculous.Anyway as the results ,I mean the trend is known now itself which can be confmed after the 10th round I wonder whether any useful purpose will be served in carrying this tamasha any more.There is no dearth for the poor sruthy begging votes for the contestants as she is doing a great job in an otherwise low level circus that is going on and all wishes for her to keep her cool and why can\'t she also bring to the notice of the ppl judging abt the way they behave without restraint.
Anyway nothing can be changed in the way of the judges as they hv been cast in such a mould and so the only way left for you ppl is to perform well in the coming rounds and by the end of 10th round everything will be clear and this tamasha will turn greatly from bad to inviting lot of commebnts from everybody and Amritatav executives will surely rue thir day when they hv selected the ppl as judges for this show not to give some guidelines for their behaviour pattern.It is a must for these ppl.Worse than asianet judges.Of course I am not against thir wits now and then as without that the routine thing of hearing songs,making comments and giving marks will surely BE A BORESOME AFFAIR.BUT COMICS BEYOND CERAIN limits is definitely condmnable as the same will steal the interest in the show and perhaps Jayan wants to get attention of all to his burly figure he is making sauch things.They simply waste their talents by such laughable jokes which can be tolerated only to some level.

Anu,a magical performance from you in this round and the marks awarded are not bad and your performance also show that your confidence level is great now.That is a welcome development.Forget the past hiccups when u were way down and now you can hope to climb up the ladder with more nice songs as you are able to bring down the gap between the boys and girls and so too by some others.I think after my sarcastic comments on them and their intention they may hv changed their minds as there is some reasonable thing I hv commented and I do feel there is a perceptible change in their pattern of their giving marks.I hv taken up the matter with Jayan himself by sening mails not to disturb the interest evinced by the viewrs by acting partially and favour one or two persons to the detriment of others and not to make fools of the viewrs by asking them to give sms when that won\'t make up for the marks which the boys get,not all but only three persons as they want one of them to corner the top slot.It is still quite evident from their mental set up in awarding marks making a mockery of the whole show and thereby bringing down the Amritatv itself into disrepute which can\'t be accepted.If the same trend continues more avenues will be explored to make them behave like judges as all can\'t be fooled all the time.Now this round has some results but what is going to happen in the next rounds hv to be seen before further action is taken.Let them do justice to the music talents instead of pampering some boys and that is not the way to create stars.There shuld be healthy competition esp.when there are as many girls as boys.
and coaxing and cajoling some boys and awarding high marks even if the song is only average and find fault with girls if the song is good.Let them make some comments and the marks shuld be awarded in a just manner for both boys and girls.What they are going to achieve by promoting one or two boys to the detriment of others.If they wish those boys can be taken in their ganamelas but in a competition showing partiality is a very bad trend.I hope this will be noticed by Mr.Shyam Prasad and other relevant persons and I will address them separately by mails so as not to bring down the culture that the channel has created.Hope better sense prevails esp. on Jayan and Deepak and be more pragmatic and not carried away by their prejudices as this is not the platform for that and if they want to promote those boys there are other avenues for the same.
As I said I hv no prejudices against Jayan or Deepak as I am not going to gain in anyway in finding fault with them but in a contest esp. by such a great channel like the Amritatv which is being considered as the most precious channel bypassing all others by bringing more and more nice programmes and bringing more talents in various sectors of art bringing that glory to low level can\'t be accepted.If they can\'t deliver goods let them bid goodbye to the programme instead of making the viewrs lose their temper.

Anyway as the 7th round is over and you hv come out meritoriously continue the enthusiasm in the future rounds also with more vigour and dynamism.Wishing you all the best.

Your last performance was very nice. There is a stability in your performance now and I\'m sure that you will be till the end of the show. The Judges have given you good marks and Keep up the gud work.
I felt that the show lost it\'s direction when I heard some of the judgements given by Our Esteemed Judges. My emotional and intelectual wavelength was not matching with that of the show. I felt that they have selected their best and the rest is just a show. But now it\'s again changing. They are showing the guts to call a spade a spade. I hate to see sentiments, looks and other things not related to the talents playing a spoilsport when they give the Judgement.
I always felt that sending an SMS never serves any purpose. If the contestants bows out of the show all of it goes down the drain. But when I read that Amma has pledged some of the money generated through SMS wii go to educate children, I felt really good. Now I know that there is a defenite purpose for sending an SMS in favor of the contestants.
I just have a request to the makers of the show to anounce this good cause at the begining or at the end before our dear Shruthi signs out of the show. I know and I really feel that if you make the audience feel that there is a better and defenite purpose they will send more votes.

Anu,waiting eagerly for your next two songs in this round.As said the duet performance was ok.Now the other two will decide where you stand in this round.No problem.I think the shoot for the 8th round must be in this week and as I don\'t know the subjects you will be given for songs select nice songs,dekluver with least mistakes as the judges hv certain set mind that can\'t be altered and though I am trying and as said only the boys are cornering the top places so far with their \'adipoli\' songs which are actually piercing the ears and the the panel is carried away by that and give marks according to their fancies.Only Alphons seems to be reasonable and the burly Jayan and other man deepak are of so so type much can\'t be expected from them.But the audience are helpless as votes alone can\'t push one up without marks and the ppl are not prepared to make the show a level playing ground for girls also and carried away with high noise of the boys.Really pathetic.So the only way is to satisfy the two ppl to the best iof yr ability so as to get good marks as if this trend goes I am sure only the boys will reach the final rounds pushing all the girls out of the scene and such will bea pathetic state of affairs and I hv already drawn the attention of Jayan this strange way of awarding marks and don\'t know whether the group will change at least fom the 8th round and the same is to be seen.In the circumstances you hv to put a lot of effort to push yourself up in the ladder with rigorous practice,nice selection and rendering of songs and that is the only way opened to you ppl.What to do?The system has been set like that and I don\'t expect Jayan and deepak to change their ways as they are in some dream world by making noises and cracking unworthy wits which evoke only derision.So gear yourself up to hv a real fight in the future rounds.As of now Uma willbe in trouble in this round,it seems.You won\'t face any problems and can sail smoothly but will you reach the final rounds can be a guess with boys placing themselves on the top 4 places.Let us wait and see whether some miracles happen and some wisdom on Jayan and deepak.Best wishes.

Hope you read the above comment from one mr.agraman, if not please do before reading further. personally i dont agree to most of his \'accusations\' but what the judges are doing are for popularity of the show and it has succeeded for a major respect. You guys are active all through the show and that brings the show alive. But at times, it is seen that even you get carried away and it reflects in your awarding of marks. We would like to see more of \'advices\' on how to do \'quality singing\' to contestants rather than just comments which can be made by any layman. i am saying this, because most of times (i counted it 85%) of time, i am able to predict what marks you are going to give (based on your action-reactions before the marks awarding time). We expect more out of you !

As expected you hv crossed the post as I was so sure you won\'t get elimination as you got better score than some of the others and placed on the 10th.so it is difficult for the ppl at the bottom 6 to get over you despite votes.Happy abt this.But be sure further rounds will be more tough and as I used to say the judges favour only ppl with strong voice and the same cld be delivered only by some boys and hence the girls are definitely put in a disadvantage in this respect and hence my stress that much need not be expected from the so called apprisers and you show your mettle in the song selection which shuld be without flaws as you hv some basics in classical music and with good selection of songs I think you can clear the hurdles in the future roundsand I wish you to come within 5 during the final rounds and then we will see.So all my wishes to you Anu, in future rounds.

Anu,after taking into consideration the 5th and 6th round you stand at spot 10 which is not bad and which will not affect you and leading to the apprehension of elimination.However as the future rounds are going to be more sticky you hv to put maximum efforts in song selection,nice pitching and all such things which I need not tell you as you seem to be a good singer but the way how the big people sitting to judge you will hv to be watched with interest.You are one of the good singers and with more efforts you can easily reach higher levels and of course all your fans will support you in your efforts by giving their votes which need not worry you but try to attract the judges attention and convince them of your abilities and never show any sort of nervousness before them as the same is no more required as this is not a great show and just take things as they are in their own stride and your spirit and confidence in your ability to deliver are the keys for your success and nobody can deny you if you can deliver quality songs without hiccups and I am sure you can do the same Anu and don\'t worry abt other things and establish yourself as a good singer whatever be the outcome of the finals.ok.All the wishes.

Anu, at the end of 6th round though you seem to be entering danger zone on the basis of marks I am sure you won\'t be eliminated as the votes from your fans will see you thru and it is only from 7th round you hv to show your mettle in a more energetic way.In this respect I wish to make some comments on the so called judges sitting toassess the contestants just for infmn and in my opinion.
Normally judges are apppointed in shows to judge the potentialities of the cotestants.Here what happens is that they are more interested in hit songs of Sankar Mahadevan,Hariharan,
Sreekumar and others who hv rendered songs composed by directors like Rahman and others who hjv given some very good hits which hv been sung by many contestants in many channels and sung by many in many shows and repeating the same here then they are sure to get good marks from the judges.No necessity for sruthy,pitch this and that but the song shuld be rocking one and the judges must enjoy.I don\'t find any fault with the audience which comprise young ppl dancing with the contestants but it is ridiculous andobnoxious for the roly poly Jayan and the diehard deepak aslo to join the bandwagon and dance which bring the whole show one of mockery.Only I find Alphons shows some restraint and the way the burly Jayan and his henchman deepak also dance I can\'t digest.They hv just forgotten that they are there to assess the contestants and they themselves dance and enjoy is simply preposterous.They can enjoy te song ina subdued way and that shuld reflect in themarks awarded.The high voltage songs can be sung only by some boys with powerful voice and not by girls and if the judges are carried by that then the girls ,of course some of them can sing in a way,any in a doldrum.If one sees the marks awarded one can easily notice that the fatman and his PA wish to give high marks only to the contestants who can sing in a powerful voice and the so called judges simply forget their role.I hv seen Sharat,Sreekumar also in the other channel but they don\'t dance and make a hallaballoo of the same and point out the mistakes and make their own assessments.I don\'t value their assts much but theway they behave I hv to appreciate.The best judges I hv seen are in Munch star singer for juniors where Sujata and Venugopal enjoy the song,make decent comments and award marks aptly.Here the contestant can impress in his orher own way but the judges shuld not be a part of the chorus that aregoing on with every rocking song and dance.In this cionfusion other nice songs sung by the contestants whether boys or girls are grilled for sruthy,pitch and such things and get lower marks.Does not the same look funny?Sometimes I used to wonder whether the stage can withstand the howling and dancing of Jayan.I don\'t hv any grudge against them but they hv to behave like Judges who are sitting there to assess the contestants and shuld not behave like street urchins.No wonder none of them could make great songs that can be remembered for years except a few.The basis of awarding marks in decimals at their fancies is also anathema to me.Better songs sung by the contestants gets lesser marks and sub standard hit songs sung by the contestants get higher marks.If this tamasha goes like this the name can be changed from Super Star2 to Super Rocking Star2 and they also show much partiality to the contestants as they hv already become the fans of some to the detriment of many others.So the option for the unlucky ones who sing very nicely but could not sing in a volatile way hv to depend on the votes of the viewrs.Why this drama is being enacted by Jayan group is not known.They shout from housetops they are going to be strict this and that but in actual practice they act differently.Already they hv decided the contsetant who shuld be elevated to the first place and so they move accordingly in a well planned show,as if they are very pragmatic.
In the circumstances you don\'t bother abt the marks awarded and even if the best talented contestants had to bow out there is nothing to worry as all can consider this as a platform to know how Reality show operates.I thought Amritatv at least shuld hv been a forerunner in this field but to my dismay they ,I mean only this SS2 {and not other shows which are fabulous as the judges are quite competent like super dancer, and the finished shows like vanita retnam,ragaretnam etc.} hv selected sub standard judges for this.Anyway it is not my business to teach them but if they behave in an impartial way this show will get accolades or else it is sheer sham unworthy of even watching.The judges sometimes behave like clowns
cracking unsavoury wits and such ppl shuld not hv been selected as judging the talents.All my wishes will be with you though I hv blurted out something unplatable to many.Long comment but I hv to post to express my anguish.

That was indeed a very gud performance. You sang very well. As so many has pointed out, you can be the best with this kind of temperament. There is nothing to loose but so much to gain from the experience. You were very presentable on stage and you took the comments in the right spirit. I saw a jot of tear in your eyes the other day, that\'s a positive sign buddy, that shows the hard work you are putting in to your singing. The song was sung so well, there was life in the song. Other than the technical faults pointed out by the judges you don\'t have to worry much. If Mr. Deepak had some feelings or tune in his mind while composing the song it\'s good for him and the song. We are not mind readers to know his feelings, but try to understand the meaning of the lyrics and feel it in your heart. Sing from your heart and you will win lots of hearts.

I think Anu has taken all the criticisms in the right spirit and with maturity.
Let\'s encourage all the remaining 16 contestants. We should appreciate these youngsters for their love of music and enthusiasm to perform in Amrita tv and entertain us. Let them all learn from their wonderful experience in SS2 and enrich the field of music. They are all talented and let the first one among the best win the title.
Some critics of Anu are repeatdly talking about her elimination from ISS. I fail to understand what they mean by this. If we fail in an exam, there is always a 2nd,3rd or even 4th chance. To me, the very fact that she was selected into the last 48 of ISS and last 20 of SS2 by eminent musicians itself is a proof of her talent. Mr.Raja has rightly pointed out, the case of Anitha. The other day in SS2 Naresh Iyer narrated his experience in another reality show. He could reach only the last 25!! Don\'t forget our beloved Dasettan(Padmasree Dr.K J Yesudas) was once rejected by AIR. He failed a sound test !!! Behind the story of any succesful person, there is a story of many failures and hard work. Let us not underestimate anybody. I think Anu is sincere when she says she is working hard. Let us all wish her a bright future.

Anu,your performance today is not that bad but I can find fault only with the selection of the song of deepaks composition as deepak does not hv many hit sonsg though he may be bright in his own way by being the assistant to Rahman,Anu Malik and others and knows keyboard,guitar and such things still he has to mature as a good music director and that may take some time for him as he does not hv much imagination.Jayan seems to hv more experience in this line and Alphons is also not bad.You cld hv chosen some song from their films.Of course in my view all are still in the process of getting more matured and they can\'t be compared to the great ppl of yesterdays like Devarajan,Raveendran,Johnson,Ilayaraja,Rahman etc.Anyway what marks you got is not that bad given the conditions of selections from the three ppl who are in the process of coming up like the contestants of the star singer.They know things but hv not been able to deliver good hits though they hv good knowledge of carnatic music etc and thorough with sruthy,pitching,and matters related to make the songs enjoyable and making the same hits.None of them has so far produced a hit song that can stand the test of time whereas the songs composed by the other greats can still be enjoyable despite passing of decades..
Under such circumstances what you hv performed today is really satisfactory though some comments were there reg. sruthy, and such things.In my view anything in the region of 20 or above for judges song is ok as that is the only thing one can do or you hv to go to some hits which are few in numbers.For eg. Lal sang a song without any pitch which even the panel agreed but as the same happened to be a song sung by the character in certain circumstances the judges cld not make any comments and the same was also a fast number.So don\'t get discouiraged by this performance and your real talent display can start only from 7th round and don\'t worry abt elimination.You won\'t be eliminated by one or two songs sung in the present rounds.But as the competition becomes tight in future select some very nice songs for the rounds,I don\'t know what rounds you will hv in future and take the opinion of all friends but reserve the judgment of singing to yourself only as friends may choiose several songs according to their own choice but THE DECISION TO SING ACCORDING TO YOUR VOICE and concentrate on sruthy,pitch and such things and interact with the audience in which you are capable and that will go a long way to make you reach the final rounds.Further as I used to stress in the case of Bhadra and Uma confidence is the msot important factor and never lose the same and you must also develop the skill to adjust and carry on with the singing even if some mistakes you feel ,you hv committed and without perturbance continue as if nothing happened.Their lies a singers ability and never give a chance to the judges to track you and just glide with the song and I am sure nice voice you can create much impact in the future rounds.All wishes.I am also from EKM for your infmn.

Keep one thing in mind, It will help you in your personal life. \" Criticism Should be always constructive and not destructive\". If you have time to read what comments Agraman and Rakhee has posted for Bhadra pls do it. That is what you call as contructive criticism. They will surely boost the performance of Bhadra.
Criticism starts from the feeling of fear, anger and insecurity (All are negative energies or vibrations). \"Fear\" of our contestant loosing. We expect a gud performance and they don\'t do it which induces \"anger\" in us. We feel really \"insecured\" that our contestant may loose the battle if they don\'t perform. Then we start criticising, if it\'s constructive it will help them to improve and if it\'s done with anger and vengence it will be very destructive.
Try to live your life with out passing Judgements (verbally, physically or mentally) on individuals or situations. I know this is very difficult but if you do it, you will become a very peaceful and powerful personality. You will always transmit positive energy. No person or situation is the same. You were so angry yesterday but today your attitude has changed. Your thoughts creats your destiny. Try to fill your life with positive thoughts. Have a peaceful life.

One of the contestants, who is still here was eliminated from another channel and he cried inconsolably and spoke a lot of irrelevant things that one of the judges had to go up on stage and pacify him. He sings well but ... he is NOT a star and certainly not \"super\".

Coming to Anu. She has shown determination and perseverance to enter this show. Just as Lekha did -- after being eliminated in audition stage itself from the first SS show. I am sure Anu has learnt a lot here from Deepak, Jayachandran and Alphons -- much more than from the other Channel. And certainly from Stephen and that other STAR, Sruthy.

So, is Anitha mediocre ?
There is freedom of speech, Yes. But there are also limits to freedom of speech. I, for one, am of the firm opinion that Rani need not vote for Anu but .... she need not go out of the way to keep on repeating her words day in and day out.
FAILURES ARE THE STEPPING STONES TO SUCCESS.
Anu is in the last 16 now and that is a fact. ... When and how she gets eliminated is yet to be seen. The program is \"Super Star\", not \"Super Singer\" though singing is the major part.

ANU is indeed a * STAR * and her calm demeanour should be a good example to all of us.

We have pelted stones on Indian players when they lost and showered flowers when they won. We have to shed this attitude.
If Anu continues to do this act she\'s gonna go out naturally, for that matter we don\'t have to hurt her feelings. She can\'t block anyone\'s way. If she performs well she will win if not she\'ll make way for the others. Anu,don\'t get dejected by todays performance.It happens to everybody.You hv shown you hv the talent and hv come up with some beautiful things in the previous rounds.ur confidence level is high now.Don\'t get nervous.Try to select nice songs which suit you and practice and don\'t invite unnecessary comments from the judges as they are fine ppl than the judges of asianet singer where you will be grilled by them for nothing and they want to show their talent and taking lessons instead of encouraging the contestants esp.that fat man sharat who has the voice of a crow and he is judging the beginners.No wonder he is a big flop in his own field.The judges here are very encouraging type and never make you upset but encourage you.So follow the guidelines and come out meritoriously.All the best.

Hi Anu your performance on 24th September was superb. Let me comment on your song which your Judges did not point out. Chandralekha.... that sustain was not same as the original. May be because, you have to take breeth, you cut without completing the sustain. Otherwise your performance was fantabulous. Keep it up. All the best.

Ask Shruthi and she may be able to help you to select the right \"colors\" and \"cuts\" for you. She is a pro-model and most of the colors she selects for herself are awesome. You have peaked at the right time and keep up the momentum. It was a very inteligent thought that you have not included too many dancers arround you. Some times they creat more confusion than a catalytic effect and they spoil the concentration of the singers. As a lay man I liked your \"Chandralekha\" performance and click of your eyes. Judges have given you good marks. Keep up the hard work.

Ofcourse we all saw u in star singer.But I know u didn\'t tell a deliberate lie 4 any personal gain.We see many other contestants participating in different reailty shows.But none of them said anything abt the prev shows- on stage.I think that\'s to suit the channel\'s policy.
