| The confidence of the 20 contestants of SS-2 have left the judges & crew of the show dumbfounded. Barring a few who were regulars on the kalolsavam circuit, most of them are first-timers on stage; certainly it is their inaugural appearance before the TV cameras. However fast their pulses must have been racing, they certainly didn’t let it show. Whether it is crooning into their microphones or performing a choreographed number in the middle of a group, they do it better than pros… |

The judges of SS-2, M.Jayachandran, Deepak Dev, Alphonse and the star keyboardist Stephen Devassey have re-christened each other for this show. The suave Stephen has been transformed into Thankappan , Deepak Dev has changed to Mr. Gonsalvez, Jayachandran has become Desouza while Alphonse assumes the identity of Mr. Pereira.
One of the highlights of this show is the constant banter between the judges. Unlike reality shows where stiff-upper lipped judging panel rarely talk to each other, Gonsalvez, Desouza & Pereira.keep up a running commentary of quips and pull each other’s legs . Gonsalvez being the most quick witted of the lot, the other two get a lot of stick but they too throw back a punch or two every now & then. Thankappan letshis keyboard do the retorting and comes up with appropriate ‘sounds’ as repartees ! |
