‘Ulladakkom’ Reveals Its Contents From August 17th

Amrita TV’s new prime-time serial Ulladakkom is based on a theme that has seldom been explored on the miniscreen - the sensitive subject of the  illegitimacy of a female child. The powerful drama  will go air Monday through Friday at 9.30 pm from August 17th .

The serial  unravels the  poignant and touching tale of the resolute Uttara, forced to face Life, wearing the ‘crown of thorns’ of illegitimacy; a quirk of Fate transforms her world and her Life journeys along unexpected and turbulent highways.

A member of the ancient aristocratic family of Thathamangalam, Uttara is forced to play the role of a vassal to her cousins and aunts – for  she was born on the wrong side of the blanket.

Rejected by the father who begat her, humiliated by her relatives and  condemned to life long punishment for a sin committed by someone else, she however does not allow the insults to warp her character.
