at a Dazzling Grand Finale

Romy Sreekumar was declared  the winner of AVT Premium Vanita Ratnam -2 , Amrita TV's pioneering reality show targeted exclusively at  young mothers.

Romy,the daughter of  character actress, Ambika Mohan, has an impressive array of hobbies ranging from choreography and mono-acting to Mridangam and dance. This 26 year old  housewife and native of Kochi was a kala thilakam many times over during her college days.

In the Grand Finale on 23 August 2008, a tightly fought competition that was telecast live across the globe and decided solely on the basis of SMS votes, she won the first  prize of gold worth  10 lakhs .

The winner was crowned by noted actor Khusbhoo alongwith a galaxy of celebrity actors such as Jalaja,Ranjitha alongwith the jury of the show Murali Menon and Poornima Indrajith ,and Vanita Ratnam 2007 winner, Heera

The second  prize  worth Rs 5 lakhs of gold was bagged by Binu Hari, a 33-year-old housewife whose talent unfolded in successive rounds of the show to reveal her talents in classical dance and acting.

The finale had high-powered performances by the four finalists comprising solo dance round,mono-acting round and quick-response round,which was the basis for public voting

The Grand Finale ,a three -hour entertainment extravganza, saw dance performances by noted actor ,Sreedevi, who has acted in several Tamil movies 

The show was interspersed by a comedy skit and performances by all contestants of Vanita Ratnam -2 ,as also performances by Super Star Sangeeth, Super Star Global Roopa,and contestants of Amrita TV family of Super Star Global and Let's Dance

The Grand Finale was done in front of an invited audience in Trivandrum comprising contestant fans,advertisers ,media,celebrities ,channel partners,opinion leaders,well-wishers and Amrita fraternity
